Xbox One and PS4 Launch Editions Sell Out

Xbox One and PS4 have continued their battle and it is neck and neck so far as both launch systems have been sold out according to Amazon.

Amazon largest retailer so far to sell allocation of launch consoles

Both Microsoft and Sony will be glad to hear their upcoming launches appear to be on track with the news that the launch editions of each are selling out across the globe.

Amazon US are the latest retailer reporting a sell-out of the launch day editions of both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Sold OUT

“After a crazy and exciting month, we’ve sold through our initial allocations of PS4 and Xbox One,” Amazon’s post on Facebook reads. “Thank you to all who have ordered and shared your opinions. We have the Standard Editions for both consoles still available, but we can’t guarantee these at release. Please check back here as we’ll update you first if we receive further release day allocations.”

Excitement clear to see as anticipation for next gen consoles increases

One things for sure – people are certainly getting excited about the next generation of consoles.

After a sometimes tricky journey to release it appears both consoles are back on track and in favour. Amazon has not provided the breakdown of which console has the most orders but it is expected to be much of a muchness.

They did however report a huge rise in orders during the E3 reveals and it will be very interesting to find out whether the recent DRM change by Microsoft encouraged a boost in orders.

Most pre=orders ever as gamers flock to ensure launch day console

Amazon themselves reported that both consoles had obliterated and previous pre-order record with as many as 2,500 a minute being ordered at the peak.

They are defiantly the biggest retailer so far to run out with GameStop and Best Buy both declaring their allotments sold out earlier this week also.

It appears if gamers do not want to be disappointed on launch day they better hurry up and reserve their console at the next opportunity. Have you pre-ordered yours?
