Xbox Fitness Launches For Xbox One

Microsoft on Friday announced the newest creation from the Xbox team as they launched the Xbox Fitness program. The online service is built exclusively for the Xbox One, and will feature some of the biggest names in fitness to help shape and train the future Xbox One customers.

A fitness program mixed in with the Xbox One and the Kinect makes sense. The service will include fitness videos and integrate that with the Kinect to allow users to get fit with their Xbox One. By reading heart rates and more, your body can get it shape in no time.

Biggest Names In Fitness

The Xbox Fitness program as it is called with have the biggest group of fitness names and brands including Beachbody’s P90X® (Tony Horton) and INSANITY® (Shaun T), Jillian Michaels, Tracy Anderson and others. By having all of their videos in one place, users can go among these names and brands and choose the right program for their exercise program.

Personalized Program Recommendations

One of the highlights of the Xbox Fitness will be the personalized program recommendations. They will analyze your workout history and past performances, and create a program for you. There are workouts ranging anywhere from a few minutes up to 60 minutes in the program, and can be chosen when ready to workout.

Challenges With Xbox Live

Microsoft is including challenges with the Xbox Fitness that will tightly fit in with the Xbox Live system. By tracking your workout history, gaining awards, and competing among others, you can track your progress and gain rewards. You can also team up with friends and family in workout competitions and weight loss programs, which will help users exercise more.

The Xbox Fitness program will launch this holiday season along with the Xbox One system from Microsoft. With the Xbox Live Gold membership, users will get the Xbox Fitness Pass, and membership will include workouts through December 2014. Microsoft and Xbox One are clearly making the Xbox One a fitness system along with a great entertainment system, and will gain a new marketshare among workout fans to purchase the console at the end of the year when it goes live. This is bold and healthy move by Microsoft.
