Windows Phone 7: Best Phone Design/Features Ever
I own a Sony Ericsson K750i (quite outdated I know) mainly because I don’t use my mobile phone for much more than calls and sms, but after seeing the Windows Phone 7 in action I must say that this would finally be worth an upgrade!
Smart tiles provide real-time information
I love the clear, minimalistic design of the Windows Phone 7 that provides so much room for a lot of information. The “smart” tiles of the phone are simply stunning, they are basically real-time tiles that retrieve live information much like the web technology AJAX (whenever something is updated in real time it’s often AJAX).
Take a look at the calendar of the Windows Phone 7 to get an idea of the basic design:
So much room for useful stuff, appointments, notes, you name it and it’s all LIVE!
MMO-games are a possibility
In an interview with Greg Milligan from Microsoft, it has also been revealed that MMO games are a possibility. Many industry analysts even expect that mobile gaming will significantly increase when this phone will be released in October. Multiplayer games with LIVE support will take mobile gaming to a completely new level!
Minimum Hardware Specs
There are some minimum hardware specs that each Windows phone 7 has to fulfill. There will be lots of Windows phone from different manufacturers (LG, HTC, …), but they all fulfill the minimum hardware specs:

- DivX 4,5,6 Support
- H.264 Support (Blue-Ray, DVB digital TV too)
- 5MP camera
