Windows 7 Skin Of The Day: “Noir” With 3 Different Theme Styles
When it comes to Windows 7 skins, finding good styles is difficult. This visual style called Noir is one of the best I’ve seen lately. Install it if you don’t have a good one yet!

This is a very impressive shell skin called “Noir”. It not only has a great name, it also looks extremely elegant and is beautifully crafted:
The Start Menu has a pretty shutdown button and doesn’t have rounded edges

Quick Look At The Important Theme Shell Files
Now let’s take a quick look at the system files included:
As you can see, this theme includes various Bitmap files. In order to install this theme correctly, you will need a resource editor.

When you uncollapse the folder “Theme”, “Noir” you see the folders en-US and Shell, here are the important theme files that need to be copied into the the C:/Windows/Resources/Themes folder as outlined here . Follow the instructions precisely or you may not be able to boot Windows 7 – or damage system files. If you are new, make sure to learn how to recover your system by going into the safe mode and using the System file checker!
