Windows 10 On Over 400 Million Devices

While we normally share news about Windows 10 apps and the new releases, Microsoft shared news about Windows 10 that shows that people are using it. Microsoft announced that Windows 10 is now being used on over 400 million devices, making it a runaway success.

Microsoft in its announcement talked about the 400 million active devices that are using Windows 10 today, and that is up from 300 million on May 5th, and 207 million at the end of March. Overall, 400 million Windows 10 lovers.

In its release, Microsoft noted that the Windows 10 active device count includes PCs, tablets, phones, Xbox One consoles, HoloLens, and even the Surface Hubs in the enterprise. It’s more than just the desktop for Windows 10 world now.

While Microsoft has a lofty goal to get the 1 billion device mark met by 2018, they probably won’t actually hit that for a while. It means that people love the new operating system, and it’s working well to move into the enterprise.

By making Windows 10 work on a number of devices, and supporting a ton of apps, it means these apps can work anywhere on any device. This opens up the world of developers to more devices, and makes 400 million devices a number to truly marvel at.
