Titanfall Propels Xbox One Sales Over 5 Million

The month of March was a very important month for Microsoft and the Xbox One, as the latest update and games hit the platform. On Thursday, Microsoft announced via the NPD Results released, that Titanfall became the number one selling game with Xbox One sales eclipsing 5 million units.

The Xbox One numbers released by Microsoft show a 60 percent improvement over the same period of the Xbox 360 sales in that same period. New usage records, a ton of users playing games, and utilizing the new features on the Xbox One, made March a great month for Microsoft.

In the NPD Group report, Microsoft sold 311,000 units of the Xbox One, which put it 60 percent above where the Xbox 360 stood at the same time of its release. Microsoft also has 6 of the top 10 titles for the Xbox 360. Those include: “Minecraft,” “Dark Souls II,” “The Lego Movie Video Game,” “Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare,” “Call of Duty: Ghosts,” “South Park: The Stick of Truth.”. Microsoft also has four of the top 10 titles for the Xbox One, those include: “Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare,” “Call of Duty: Ghosts,” “Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes,” “ Titanfall.”

This is great news for Microsoft and the Xbox One. Microsoft is the leader in gaming and these results show it.
