The closed beta of Star Wars The Old Republic has started. Although the game won’t be coming until 2011, Bioware is keen on getting feedback from players and apparently invited a very low number of players to a closed beta test.
The SWTOR forums are currently filled with people and there’s already a third thread about the closed beta that is supposed to last from June 25th – June 27th. Two threads about the beta (each 200 pages strong) have been already closed.
SWTOR beta testers are allowed to let others know of the beta and also that they are part of it.
1. The fact that there is a Game Program.
2. The fact that you are a member of the Game Program.
A reader of massively.com has posted a screenshot of the closed beta invitation:
E3 Impressions: Is SWTOR really that boring?
Of course, many have already tested Star Wars The Old Republic at the E3 this year. Apparently, the staff over at mmorpg.com aren’t particular fond of the game and criticized the game for being too boring.
I disagree, but I’ll rephrase it:
If you didn’t like Star Wars KOTOR, then you won’t enjoy SWTOR as much as you could.
As many of you know, SWTOR will be the first fully voiced MMO and the story will play a major role in SWTOR. So, if you need the latest OMG, L33T graphics and don’t care about a background story, SWTOR might not be for you. Besides, SWTOR has some pretty amazing graphics if you ask me. The landscape of Belsavis is stunning:
