Skype For Business Arrives For Android
Ever since Lync was replaced by Skype from Microsoft, the ability to update the Lync app on Android has been an important task from Microsoft. On Wednesday, Microsoft unveiled the Skype For Business app out of preview.
The Skype For Business app for Android is available today from the Google Play Store, and is quite the app. It totally replaces the Lync 2013 app that users were using, and integrates the features of Skype with this enterprise improvement.
Google Features
With the Skype For Business app on Android, Google users now get a new dashboard with the contact search bar, upcoming meetings, and conversations. Additionally, full screen video is also available for users to enjoy.
A better contact management system has also been integrated into this Android app, and it allows for users to search for contacts via a number of ways. Lastly, new authentication and security options keep users and data safe on the app.
Finally On Android
The Skype For Business app arrived initially on Windows Phone devices, and then on iOS devices. It took an extra amount of time for Skype’s engineers to port this app to Android, but it appears the wait has been worth it.
This new enterprise tool will give users ways to contact others easier, have video meetings on a revamped enterprise tool, and has the support of Microsoft and Skype behind it. This means a better app for the business user.
Download the Skype For Business app today. If you run Lync, it’s worth the download and worth trying today.
