Release Date for Windows 8 – 2013?
A release date for Windows 8 was leaked by wzor. Get more information about this speculative release date after the break.
Wzor posted some explosive news. He leaked a possible Windows 8 release date. Wzor was pretty reliable in the past and accurately predicted many release of Windows 7 builds in the past, including Windows 7 RC.
Windows 8 Release Date
January 7th, 2013
A 2013 release date is what I personally expected. Developing a MAJOR operating system takes time and people won’t buy Windows 8 unless it comes with some very exclusive ground-breaking features. Here are some of the Windows 8 features we talked about in the past that will most likely be integrated into Windows 8 (there’s even more evidence for most of the features by now):
- App store
- Facial recognition via Kinect
- New filesystem
- 3D desktop

Are you happy with a 2013 release date? I’d say I can wait a while until I upgrade to another OS again, Windows 7 is pretty decent and for specific tasks I simply use Ubuntu.
Another explosive information that was leaked by wzor is that there will be two beta phases. So, we can expect two beta tests for Windows 8 in 2012. If we’re lucky, there will be a beta test for Windows 8 in 2011. He also gave us information about a possible Windows 7 Service Pack 2 release date.
We will of course keep you posted with more release date news. For now, we don’t have a release date for the Windows 8 beta, but sooner or later it will be leaked or announced.
2013? Uh… I’ve got to hold off on getting a Windows 7 tablet, then, including a motherboard with a new AM3+ APU from AMD (I custom-built my own home theater PC).
Thanks, but I may not think the release dates may be accurate.
