Pottermore Website

J.K. Rowling has something in store for all Harry Potter fans. She will officially announce the launch of the Pottermore website. A countdown for the website is now live.

Pottermore Website

The website is called Pottermore.com. On the website you don’t find much at a first glance. There’s the Pottermore logo and two owls. Once you click on one of the owls to the right, a Youtube site will open up. Here’s what it looks like:

What Is Pottermore?

Ok, we still don’t know what Pottermore actually is. Some theories are that Pottermore stands for Potter Multiplay Online Roleplaying Experience, however it could also simply be a social network for Harry Potter fans including a Harry Potter encyclopedia where you can get MORE information about Harry Potter, including new stories from J.K. Rowling, involving Harry, Hermione and Ron and all of the other Harry Potter characters.

It looks like Rowling is preparing a real big thing and want to keep the Harry Potter universe alive. Pottermore was registered as a trademark back in 2009 in multiple countries around the world, including the UK, USA, Brazil, Argentina.

Pottermore: International Websites

Almost all domain extensions are also registered. Rownling and Warner Bros. are preparing an international launch of whatever Pottermore is actually going to be. Pottermore.com, Pottermore.net, Pottermore.co.uk, Pottermore.com.br (bRazil) and many other are already registered. However, only Pottermore.com seems to have the teaser website up and running (correct me if you find any other)

As the Youtube countdown suggest, Pottermore will be officially announced on June 23. So make sure to check back here and the official Pottemore website (Pottermore.com)

We’ll keep you posted when we have any new information about the Pottermore website. In the meantime you can check out the latest rumors about the Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 DVD Release Date
