It’s no secret that Office 365 has been a product that many use, many adore, and many await its upcoming releases. On Monday, some started to notice a new planner preview, and this gives planner users something to try out.
The new planner technology is new for the company, and is something new for Office 365. It has become available for Office 365 First Release program users, and is slowly working its way out for others soon.
What Is Planner?
The planner technology that is being rolled out to Office 365, is part of a lightweight planning technology that the company has been working on. It will be a management tool that many organizations can start to use.
It will work into something called Office 365 Groups when it becomes fully available for groups to administer. This should work fine with first release customers, as they try this, Sharepoint Online and OneDrive for Business.
Who Gets This First?
As noted, the planning software will be available initially for first release customers. Those include Office 365 Enterprise E1, Office 365 Enterprise E3, Office 365 Enterprise E4, Office 365 Enterprise E5, Office 365 Education, Office 365 Education E3, Office 365 Education E4, Office 365 Business Essentials and Office 365 Business Premium.
It’s not fully known when this will be available for all to try out, but it will fully go through the beta releases in the first release realm before going public. It will be 2016 by the time it rolls out in most guesses.
Planning software has been wanted in Office 365. It is now being tested, and should be available for many in due time.
