Skype Video Comes To Office Online
The biggest announcement on Thursday, was the integration of Skype Video and video integration into Office Online. Microsoft is seeing increased usage of Office Online, and Skype will finally all be there. This means inline video chats for all.
The move of Skype Video into Office Online should arrive by next month, according to the blog post on Microsoft.com. It will work with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote Online. Now, instant communications will be inline with work getting done.
Chrome Browser Update & More
The Chrome Browser also got a major extension with the addition of an Office Online extension. This menas that users can create and open Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Sway documents from the Chrome Browser. It also works with OneDrive documents as well.
Other Office Online enhancements include a navigation pane for help with large documents within Office Online. Additionally, Office for Android got 40% smaller in size, which should help many users. Lastly, a visual basic editor feature will arrive on Office 2016 for the Mac.
