November Xbox One Update Rolling Out To Users

Microsoft’s commitment to giving Xbox One users the freshest updates has continued since the console launched, and the monthly updates bring a number of exciting features. On Friday, Microsoft via Major Nelson, announced the November updates are ready to be released, giving users the last update of the year, but with a number of new items.

This November update of the Xbox One is the 10th consecutive Xbox One update, and part of the hundreds of new features for the Xbox One. With the large number of November updates, Microsoft is hoping that these updates, plus a lower $349 price point will help it sell well during the upcoming holiday season ahead around the globe.

Updates To You and Live TV

The first major update is the fan feature updates for the Xbox One. Microsoft listened to user requests and gave three new customization updates. One is the ability to have custom backgrounds, and this will allow users to get creative. Next, users can share their gamer profile anywhere, including the Xbox One SmartGlass. Lastly, users can tweet their latest Xbox One game clips via Twitter on the Xbox One.

TV also got a number of new updates on the Xbox One. Now, users in the US and Canada will see a new trending tab in the OneGuide. It will show the hottest shows, and will be updated by the minute. In the US, Twitter TV Trending will roll out, and Tweets will be seen in the Mini Guide. Lastly, the MiniGuide will now show favorite TV channels and this should be huge.

Store Improvements and Fan Updates

The Xbox One Store also has been updated and pages improved, to allow easier finding of games and apps. The Xbox One SmartGlass got updates that will let users see friends game activities if shared. Games with Gold has been updated for viewing and downloading on the Xbox One SmartGlass, and the SmartGlass store improvements have been launched.

Lastly, fan featured requests were rolled into this update. Now, users can snap from a full screen and move Internet Explorer into a snap mode. Internet Explorer will also show a number when sites are added to featured sites. Lastly, a Restart Now feature has been released. By choosing Power and Startup, then Restart Now, this can be triggered.

This November Xbox One update is HUGE. There are a ton of updates included, and free as always from Microsoft.
