This week marked the big unveiling for Windows 10 from Microsoft, and Microsoft did a wonderful job showing off the future of Windows. On Thursday, Microsoft did a little more sharing, as they went into detail with the Skype client for Windows 10. This looks like the beautiful Skype we have dreamed about.
The new images and interface of the Skype for Windows 10, is a radical redesign of what is possible with Windows and Windows 10. It looks very different from the current versions, and its deep integration with the Windows 10 operating system means that more is possible with it later this year.
Skype With Windows 10
The first thing you will notic with Skype on Windows 10, is how it is embedded into the full operating system. It’s no longer just a simple app to launch, but it alows for talking with mobile and email address books, allows for connectivity to friends, and mobile connectivity across iPhones, Macs, Androids, and more.
With Skype being built into the messaging system for Windows 10, its no longer just an app to download and install. It will allow for deep calling and video conference calls, and it doesn’t require any setup within Windows 10. The experience means a free flowing Skype experience that simply works with Windows 10.
Sendng Messages Easier
With Skype being embedded into Windows 10, it means that users can send free messages over the Internet, just from the taskbar. This means that you don’t have to pull out a mobile phone to do it, and won’t have to launch Skype even to do it. This means that more people will be messaging with Skype come later this year.
Lastly, users will be able to send text messages and free Skype to Skype messages with Windows 10. It will be redone into the mobile operating system of Windows 10 for Windows Phones as well, and previews to that will be available soon. The Skype and Windows future is looking very bright ahead.
Skype and Windows 10 look very nice together. We will see it unfold later this year.
