The Windows Phone market has been gaining in manufacturers, and as more come on board, the amount of upcoming Windows Phones are getting exciting. On Thursday, Microsoft via its Blogging Windows blog announced the latest, highlighted by Acer and their new Acer Liquid M220 smartphone.
The Acer Liquid M220 is the first Liquid smartphone that will run on Windows Phone 8.1, and will include a free upgrade to Windows 10 later this year. It has a bevy of features that will impress many users, and give Windows Phone users another option to choose from during their phone buying times.
Acer Liquid M220 Specs
The Acer Liquid M220 has a 4-inch 233 pixels per inch WVGA screen, and features a 5 Megapixel auto-focus rear camera, with an LED flash. It has a 2 Megapixel front facing camera as well, and can support all the latest social sharing and video sharing sites. It is also light at only 4.2 ounces.
The Acer Liquid M220 includes the suite of Microsoft products, including OneDrive, Skype, Office, and Cortana. Inside, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with dual core CPUs at 1.2GHz, and has 1GB of memory. It has a replaceable 1300mAh battery, and has 3 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby. It also has 8 GB of storage with a Micro SD card slot.
Only $79.99 In June
The biggest selling point on this Acer Windows Phone is the price. It will be available at Microsoft Stores starting in June, and will only be $79.99. It will come in Mystic Black and Pure White colors. It will be unlocked, and features a number of amazing features for a small price for customers.
This is a great move for Microsoft, and is a budget priced phone. It’s not meant for the advanced user, and isn’t a flagship type phone. It gets users into the Windows Phone experience at under $100, and is a moderately spec’d out phone. It will be worth trying out in June we are sure of.
