Microsoft Sells One Million Xbox One Consoles In 24 Hours

Amazing Sales Numbers

The number of one million units sold in 24 hours is a number that Microsoft sold in 13 markets around the world. It was the biggest launch in Xbox history, and with it, makes Microsoft the early winner in the next generation console wars. It is sold out at most retailers, and Microsoft has already announced that they are replenishing stock as quickly as they can.

With the Xbox One, Forza Motorsport 5 and Dead Rising 3 have set stage as the initial hits. Over 60 million zombie kills, 3.6 million miles driven, 7.1 million combos in Killer Instinct, and over 8.5 million enemies killed in Ryse: Son Of Rome set the initial gaming stats. Over 43.3 million Fit Points also were earned in Xbox Fitness.

Microsoft Proud Of Numbers

To say that Microsoft is proud of the sales numbers is a true underestimate. They stated that they are humbled and grateful for the excitement that the Xbox fans gave the new Xbox One unit. Microsoft and the Xbox team created social moments and consoles for their fans, and look forward to the holidays to create more Xbox One memories.

With the launch, Microsoft is aiming to make it a record quarter for the company. By integrating live TV, Skype, fitness, music, and other aspects into this main living room console, they can brand itself even further with it. Over 22 game titles are out initially and 10 exclusives, which should help the stock price of MSFT overall.

I’m still waiting on mine, and look forward to playing it. I’m always up for someone buying me one for the holidays too. lol
