Microsoft Work & Play Bundle Launches

One of the biggest areas of revenue for Microsoft in the past few years has been the subscription model, and it has made the company billions of dollars. Satya Nadella continues to look for new ways to expand the revenue streams, and news on Monday revealed the next item. The Microsoft Work & Play Bundle gives users a one year premium bundle.

The Microsoft Work and Play Bundle is a brand new thing from Microsoft, and is meant to give users the best of all the Microsoft services in one pricing model. The $199 subscription price will cover a number of Microsoft services and features, and could become a big hit for people looking for one main thing to subscribe to versus many.

Microsoft Play & Work Bundle

The new $199 Microsoft Play and Work Bundle has 4 different features that most Microsoft users will find very interesting. It comes first with the Office 365 home subscription, that includes 1TB of OneDrive online storage. Next it includes, one year of Xbox Live Gold, and this is for Xbox 360 or Xbox One users, and includes all the features of Xbox Live Gold.

Third, it includes a year’s access to the unlimited Xbox Music Pass. The pass gives users access to music on their PC, tablet, phone, Xbox, and the web. Fourth, the bundle includes Skype Unlimited World and Wi-Fi, and gives uses unlimited minutes to call people around the world, plus gives them access to Skype’s Wi-Fi network anywhere in the world.

Why This Will Work

This is the perfect gift for anyone who uses Office 365, Skype, Xbox Music, or Xbox Live Gold. It includes the full service of Microsoft products, and means that it’s covered for the entire year, without having to renew or look for credit cards to renew it with at anytime. This $199 service is perfect for individuals, companies, small business users, or students.

This revenue building subscription model will increase the bottom line at Microsoft and at $199 per user. This assumes that the user will use all four services, and they will still make money off the user. A full years service to all these Microsoft options means that users get the best of Microsoft for one price, and that should please many Microsoft users we think.

This is a great deal for $199. I’m going to pick it up, and I think many should too.
