Microsoft Debuts Two New Nokia Phones

The Nokia brand of devices and products was purchased by Microsoft and has lingered around as the company figures it out. On Wednesday, Microsoft went ahead and debuted two new Nokia branded phones, the Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM.

Both of these premium quality internet enabled phones are as Microsoft calls it, perfect for taking and sharing selfies day and night. These have all the basic functions of a smart-phone and cost under $100 as it launches.

Selfies and Build

Both the Nokia 230 and the Nokia 230 Dual SIM are built with the camera in mind. They feature a shortcut camera key, and then have a share button built to share the pictures. These can be shared to Twitter, Facebook, and GroupMe by Skype.

Both of these phones also feature the 2.8-inch screen that users can watch videos on, listen to the FM radio, or listen to MP3’s with the MP3 player. Memory cards support 32GB with these phones, and they come with a free game download per month from Gameloft.

Phone Specs and Availability

Both of these phones while selfie centred, are great phones as well. They have an aluminium back cover available in both silver and dark silver. They feature 23 hours of talk time and a standby time of up to 27 days.

These phones are going to be $55 USD, will start being sold in India, Asia, and the Middle East. Depending on how they sell, Microsoft will be looking to expand the phones to more markets in 2016. But at $55, its a great deal.

The Nokia 230 is a quality built phone. It’s cheap, affordable, and perfect for selfies.
