Microsoft Announces Exclusive Partnership With The NFL

This week marked a very important partnership between two of the most powerful companies in both sports and entertainment, as Microsoft and the NFL announced a multiyear partnership.

The details on the partnership were somewhat limited and announced to help correspond to the announcement of the Microsoft Xbox One, but fans of both Microsoft and the NFL should find that this partnership will give them much more fan access than ever before.

Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO stated in this weeks news: ‘We love the passion that players, coaches and fans bring to the NFL game; it’s what makes the NFL game-day experience so unique,’ said Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO.

Fans of the Microsoft Xbox One should see interactive experiences with the games, systems, with the Kinect equipment, and the Xbox SmartGlass that they can use during NFL games on Sundays. The introduction of the second screen to Microsoft Xbox One fans with this partnership with the NFL should give fans more reasons than ever to purchase the Xbox One once it is announced later this year.

One of the more intriguing comments of the announcement came from Don Mattrick, who is one of the heads of the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft. He stated: ‘When we started working with Roger Goodell and the team at the NFL we knew that we could create great new experiences that fans would love,’ said Don Mattrick, president of the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft.

‘This partnership will redefine NFL experiences through exclusive and interactive content that you will find only on Xbox.
