Microsoft and Xbox Launch Halo 5 To Global Audience

It’s no secret that the world of video gaming and video entertainment is exciting, and new games always get people lined up at the stores. On Tuesday, Microsoft got the crowds going, with the launch of Halo 5.

The newest franchise in the video game thriller, launched at midnight and came with a worldwide celebration that hasn’t been seen in a while. It went global quickly, and arrives with Halo 5 available on the Xbox One.

It was much more than a traditional video game launch with Halo 5: Guardians on Tuesday. It started with the world premiere of Halo: The Fall Of Reach, had appearances from 343 Industries at Microsoft Stores and more.

Microsoft hosted a London event for players, and featured top celebrities and YouTube gamers as well. Microsoft also hosted a Xbox roundtable at 343 Industries plus had interviews with the creators. A new video game marathon record was set as well in Finland.

Microsoft Makes Halo 5 Available Online, Retail, and via Digital Downloads

Microsoft made Halo 5 Guardians available via retailers and the Xbox Live store on Tuesday. It’s available for $59.99 and is also available at over 110 Microsoft Stores in the US, Canada, and in Puerto Rico.

The digital download is a hefty one, but worth it if you love a non-disc based playing system. Microsoft has also made YouTube videos available on their YouTube page, and is asking players to submit their videos of Halo 5 in action as well.

Halo 5 is big for Microsoft and the Xbox One. It’s the biggest title of the year, and could be a billion dollar title before its done.
