Latest Windows 8 Release Date News: Dell Roadmap Leaked
A Dell product roadmap leaked by Androidcentral gives us some more hints when Windows 8 *could* be released. According to the roadmap, we might see a late 2011, early 2012 release.
The roadmap unveils a Windows 7 tablet PC with the codename “Rosemount” that is supposed to be coming this year (late Q2 2011: June) and also unveils a Windows 8 tablet called Peju, scheduled for a release in early 2012.
This roadmap could possibly be very old and there could be massive delays, so I wouldn’t bet on it. If Windows 7 is really going to support ARM Cpu’s, a new filesystem, a new desktop, a new login system via Kinect and whatever else they have in store for us, then we can probably expect at least some delays – there’s always at least one part falling slightly behind schedule.
Nonetheless, some great release date news for Windows 7 fans who want a tablet PC with their favorite OS so badly. If you haven’t done so yet, make sure to check out our newly added Windows 8 themes here
