Infinity Ward Confirm Dedicated Servers For Call of Duty: Ghosts

As expected Infinity Ward have confirmed their latest blockbuster-to-be Call of Duty: Ghosts will have dedicated across all platforms.

While it was already confirmed by Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin at Gamescom that the Xbox One and PC versions would have dedicated servers there was still little mention of other platforms.

Any gamers who plan to play the PS4 or current-gen releases can breathe easy however as Rubin has now confirmed that they will also feature dedicated servers to ensure stable and enjoyable online play.


“We’ve already mentioned dedicated servers as part of the overall plan to improve connectivity,” said Rubin on Twitter. “Dedicated servers will be used on current gen, next gen and PC with Ghosts.”

“In order to make sure that people have the best possible experience regardless of platform, location or connection, Ghosts will be using a hybrid system of dedicated servers and listen servers. So no matter where you are the game will always be trying to give you the best online performance possible,” Rubin further explained.

Call Of Duty: Ghosts Minimum System Requirements Leaked?

Apparently Nvidia have released the minimum specs required for Ghosts on their website. While yet to be confirmed it appears gamers will need to have a massive 50 GB of storage and a heft 6 GB of RAM at a minimum to play.

Call of Duty Ghosts Coming Soon

Call Of Duty: Ghosts which is the tenth instalment of the series will be released on PC ,PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii on November the 5th.


The game is also among the launch line-up for the Xbox One and PS4.
