HP Windows 7 tablet PC is coming – this time for real!

HP canceled the HP Windows 7 Slate PC, but that doesn’t mean that HP won’t bring out another tablet PC with Windows 7! Also other companies teamed up with Microsoft. In the end, there might be up to 24 different tablet PC’s that run on Windows 7.

HP said that a tablet computer that runs Windows 7 is set in stone. This is quite a surprise, many thought that HP was going to solely promote their own WebOS. They are currently in an evaluation phase, where they try to get as much feedback as possible from businesses and consumers to find out what they would be using the HP Windows 7 tablet PC for.

Microsoft teamed up with 24 manufacturers
Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer announced that they teamed up with 24 hardware manufacturers to create tablet PCs that run on Windows 7! So, HP might have to compete with 24 other companies. Some of the possible partners: HP, Lenovo, Asus, Dell, Samsung, Toshiba, and Sony
