How to install icons in Windows 7?
Many Windows 7 themes on our site come with new desktop icons. Some of them will automatically be installed, but some special desktop icons can only be changed with the help of a special tool. This is going to be a tutorial that will help you to install new icons in Windows 7.

First Step: Allow themes to change desktop icons!
Before you download and install any themes from here, you should make sure that the following option is checked.
Right-click on your desktop and click on “Personalize” on the bottom”:
Click on “desktop icons” and make sure that the option “Allows themes to change desktop icons” is checked:

Summary:
1. Step Right-click on your desktop – Click on “Personalize”
2. Step Click on “Change desktop icons”
3. Step Assign each icon manually after clicking on “change icon”
While we’re at it, click on “Change icon” and you already know how to change a desktop icon:
Simply browse to the folder where you store all of your desktop icons and double-click on it.
Change Special Icons
There are many “special” desktop icons. To name a few, there are icons for:
- Printers
- Fonts
- Programs
- Favorites
- Folders
- Documents
- Videos
- etc
Let’s assume you have icons for all of those items, then you will need a special tool that allows you to apply desktop icons.

I am trying to put a radio station on my desktop with the radio station’s icon. All I can do is put the station on the desktop, but the icon is just a folder image. Can this be done?
