The follow up to the original Guild Wars – Guild Wars 2:The Edge of the Mists is set for release next week.
Guild Wars 2 To Improve User Experience
Guild Wars 2: The Edge of the Mists is an update for the popular MMORPG Guild Wars 2, announced in October 2013 and expected to be released next week.
The update will come in the form of a content patch that will bring an all new map to the game’s World vs World (one of the game’s Player versus Player modes available).
This new map was designed to support any amount of players who wish to play in this game mode. Once a version of The Edge of the Mists gets crowded, another one is systematically opened for the public. The key goal during the development of this update was to eliminate player queues (a common issue in all MMORPG’s PvP system) with the aim of improving the user experience.
The Edge of the Mists Reward System
The Edge of the Mists will allow you to earn rewards relevant to the World vs World mode, but it will not increase in any way your World’s score.
This is a feature that will prevent popular Worlds to use their size as an advantage against less populated Worlds.
On the other hand, you will be able to test your World vs World Skills, gain World XP and enjoy the new content that Guild Wars 2 has to offer. This will be the second of four updates expected for this season, but it is known that The Edge of the Mists will wrap up the game’s ongoing Scarlet Briar story.
Guild Wars 2 Set For Febuary Release
Over the last way few weeks The Edge of the Mists experienced its closed beta process.
The release date for this update is set for February 4 and the update itself is marketed as a “journey beyond time and space”; an addition to the game’s story is expected as well.
