One of the most anticipated reveals of E3 was the Forza Motorsport 5 and it defiantly met all expectations as it impressed with new gameplay features, incredible graphics and more cars than ever before!
Drivatars to become integral part of Forza 5
All the talk about Forza 5 has been about the new Drivatar system and cloud racing and Turn 10 shed a little more light on these features at the recent E3 expo.
The new Drivatar system will essentially create and AI version of each player by tracking your tendencies. This includes tracking how you take turns, use the brakes where you slow down and where you tend to accelerate among many more finer details.
The most exciting part however is that when a player is racing in single player, friends “drivatars” will populate the field and – hopefully – will drive as if you were competing with them live. Not only that but if your very own drivatar wins someone else’s single player race you will even earn credits that are then available to you in game!
Incredible graphics as Forza 5 aims to be the best-looking racer of all time
It is now pretty standard that each console generation launches with a stellar and beautiful racer – PS2 and Gran Turismo 3 , Xbox 360 and Project Gotham Racing 3 – and Forza Motorsport 5 looks likely to be the genre defining racer to kick off the new Xbox One.
Using the graphical power that the Xbox One harnesses it will run at a smooth 60 fps in eye-watering 1080p resolution .Turn 10 has worked very closely with Microsoft’s Xbox One design team to make sure this will be the most beautifully designed racer to be ever released on home consoles.
Looking beyond the pretty exterior however Turn 10 also emphasized how its new physics based materials system which means that carbon fibre, steel, paint and everything else will show wear and tears as akin to real life as possible.
Top Gear hosts return to present Forza 5
Forza and Top Gear have always been linked with Jeremy Clarkson himself featuring on Forza 4 so it was no great surprise to see that the three amigos will be the voices lined up to bespoke all of Forza 5 features and game modes.
The game will feature a massive selection of cars with open wheel cars from Indy and F1 racing now set to make up the numbers. There will be eight categories in total including Exotic, Racing, Vintage, Grand Touring, Sport, Specialized, Sport, and Compact that will cover an wide array of vehicle types.
