Facebook Messenger Goes Official On Windows 10 Mobile

The Facebook evolution of apps on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile, have grown in the past few months, and Facebook has completely embraced Windows 10 fully. But, its Facebook Messenger Windows 10 Mobile app was still in beta status, but not anymore.

With the Facebook Messenger app being in a beta status, Facebook was looking for input on bugs and errors, and was getting it ready for an official launch. It’s full launch on Windows 10 Mobile, makes Windows 10 Mobile a reality for Facebook users.

From OSMeta To Windows 10 Mobile

Initially, Facebook was using an iOS technology to power the Facebook Messenger app on Windows Mobile devices, but its now transitioned to an official Windows language. The OSMeta form of the app was sluggish and quite slow for users.

By transitioning the Facebook Messenger app to Windows 10 Mobile in a native language, the app is much snappier, faster, bug free, and more useful. But, it’s official launch does come in at over 100MB in size, so its a sizeable download.

The Windows 10 Mobile experience with the official launch, gives you the full set of features that matches other platforms. It gives you notifications, live tiles for new messages waiting, conversations with stickers, and more.

You also get the ability to send photos, videos, GIFs, and more. You are also able to create groups for messages, ways to forward messages or photos to people in and out of the conversation, and lastly search for other friends on Facebook.

The Windows 10 Mobile Facebook Messenger app is here. It’s no longer beta, and now official for Windows 10 Mobile users.
