7 Entertaining TV Shows For The Thanksgiving Weekend: Gotham, Black Sails, Silicon Valley
Happy Halloween guys. Here are 7 TV shows for Halloween or the next weekend.

1 Comic Book Adaptation: Gotham
One of the most anticipated shows of the year. Well-developed characters and an exciting story set in the Batman universe. Fortunately, the show is not based on any of the previous movies and is simply set in “Gotham”, following the lives of a young Bruce Wayne and an ambitious detective James Gordon. Easily the best show on this list.
2 Spy Drama: The Americans*
If you like AMC’s The Walking Dead you’ll surely haven’t missed their promo for The Americans. This is a well-developed show about two Russian spies who are living a double-life in America. The conflicts that arise are intriguing and fun to watch.
3 60’s Drama: Pan Am
You like flying, sexy stewardesses and dramas? Pan Am got it all. Yes, it’s somewhat cheesy at times and even unrealistic (landing a Boeing in the middle of a warzone?) but it is an entertaining show portraying the early years of commercial flight and some very conflicted characters.
4 Pirate Show: Black Sails
Starz, a network best known for it’s show “Da Vinci’s Demons”, has also developed quite an amazing and underrated show about pirates. It has it all: Great CGI, the Bahamas, gruesome pirates, lots of explicit scenes and a well-developed plot. Although the plot is a little stale and predictable, it is fun to watch.
5 Comedy: Silicon Valley
Hmm, well. Although it’s most definitely not my sense of humor, the show is one of the only few shows portraying Silicon Valley. I didn’t find it particular funny or entertaining, but everyone’s taste is different.
6 Fantasy: Camelot
Camelot is a fun and entertaining show at times. Although the plot is weak at best and some of the characters pretty unconvincing, the show features Eva Green and some pretty sets. A show for a rainy day when there’s nothing else to do.
7 Reality Adventure: The Curse Of Oak Island
I admit I’m a sucker for reality adventure shows like Gold Rush. Although those shows are very often scripted and faked, they are very often full of adventure. I mean who wouldn’t want to go to the island and explore it to its full extent or dig up some gold somewhere in the jungle? The story behind Oak Island is real and they are the closest to whatever is or was on the island.
