Conversational Features Added To Microsoft Translator Mobile Apps

Microsoft has had its Translator apps for both iOS and Android available to mobile users since back in August. On Thursday, Microsoft made these apps a lot better, with the addition of conversation feature additions.

Both the Android and Apple versions were updated on Thursday, and they allow for a more natural way to communicate in person, and that includes the smartwatch and the phone, making conversations flow naturally.

Translator App Now Skype Powered

The new conversation feature updates that were added to Microsoft Translator come from the Skype Translator engine, and this is powerful. Skype Translator gives users the ability to have conversations across seven languages.

With the additions, Microsoft Translator will help with Chinese Mandarin, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. It also works either with the app on the smartphone, or together with a smartwatch.

Using Smartwatch and Phones Together

Microsoft highlighted the power of Microsoft Translator with both devices in its blog post. Users can speak into the smartwatch and use the smartphone to translate the desired language, and vice versa.

This newly minted combination of translation tools takes lagnuage translations to the next level. Microsoft is eagerly courting feedback of the service as well via its user community and forums from users.

If you haven’t tried Microsoft Translator, try it out. It’s a cool tool when on the go, and it works pretty darn well too.
