They could be bogus, but Black Ops could have been leaked before it’s been announced.
Ahead of an expected reveal early next month, Call of Duty: Black Ops has apparently been detailed
Just like the gun assets for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which leaked before its launch, Black Ops 2 follows the same route and goes one better: game modes, perks and weapons have been leaked. Whether they are or true or not is another matter, but there are controversial – and confusing – changes.
The new came from a forum called PSPKing, which also leaked an apparent poster for the game that featured the same Black Ops typeface with an orange “2.” The same forum leaked the new modes and weapons.
3 Game Modes Detailed
The three modes are “Escort,” “Split Spawn” and “Equalizer.”
The first (Escort) is where teams have to escort a player across three flags, though if the enemy team kills the player they win the game. I don’t really understand how this works: are players being escorted buffed, like in VIP in Halo 3? I don’t what the team sizes are, but the team killing seem to have the advantage.
Split Spawn starts players in a helicopter, with a pilot flying the chopper. Players slide down, spawning, and start with three lives. While the chopper can fire, if destroyed players cannot spawn. Players compete for a central flag that takes twice as long to cap as in a game of Domination. Victory is achieved by capping the flag, killing the other team. The mode has two rounds, presumably alternating between choppers.
Equalizer basically sounds like Black Ops’s version of Zombies from Halo, where players switch to the other team when killed. However, players can compete over a flag which opens up a “power plant” when capped. That allows players to respec, get new weapons or put juggernaut suits on for their team (which bring added protection). When only two players are left on the team, power plants are granted automatically. Pointstreaks – which replaced Killstreaks in Modern Warfare 3, and allocate points to obtaining killstreaks for completing certain actions – go up to five points (for example, five points in the Support Strike Package could spawn a temporary Ballistic Vest for the team).
