Bahrain Microsoft Open Door Event Unveils Windows 8 Launch Date The latest press reports from a Microsoft event called “Microsoft Open Door” are now in and Microsoft unveiled the approx. launch window.

During the tech expo Microsoft unveiled that they plan to release Windows 8 by the end of the year 2012.

The expo supported by the Bahrain government also unveiled various information about Microsoft’s upcoming Office 365 and Azure cloud services. Unlike Windows 8, Office 365 is supposed to be released this summer.

No Official Launch Date (Yet)

Yet, there is still no official announcement and no official date when Microsoft will release Windows 8 – we all already estimated that Microsoft would release it in October this year and so far that looks like the most promising month of the year. If they are going to release Windows 8 in 2012 it’s very likely that it’ll be released in October to take advantage of the early holiday shoppers.
