The Amazon app for Windows 10 was released, but many right off the bat noticed that it is simply the Amazon pages wrapped in a web wrapper. You get the full Amazon experience with their sites, but doesn’t include the Windows 10 extras.

Missing from the Amazon Windows 10 app are live tiles integration and push notifications. Both of these integrations are key to sucessful Windows 10 apps, and are found in thousands of other Windows 10 apps, but not on Amazon’s.

But, you do get all of the experience with the Windows 10 app. You get personalized recommendations, Amazon Prime, the ability to control your Amazon account, and everything else that Amazon gives you including music and apps.

Windows 10 Mobile users are still left in the cold, as the Amazon Windows 10 app is just for desktop and tablet users for now. It’s an adaquate Windows 10 app from the giant, but hopefully a revised Windows 10 app can bring us a killer Amazon app.

Try it out and let us know your thoughts. If you love Amazon, you’ll want to download the latest app.
