4 Windows Phone 7 / 1 Windows 8 Tablet From Nokia?

Microsoft spent a lot of money on the Microsoft-Nokia deal, about 1 billion USD! So, it’s only a matter of time when Nokia will release some high-end Microsoft-Nokia products, e.g. a Windows 8 tablet.

According to Elder Murtazin who’s following the mobile market closely on his site mobile-review.com (Russian), there will be 4 Windows Phone 7 devices and one Windows 8 tablet-PC from Nokia… soon. He gave us no further details on a possible release date.

Windows 8 – The Perfect OS for Mobile Devices?

We are currently expecting that Windows 8 will be released in 2012. A Dell roadmap hints at a release date in early 2012, but I would take that with a grain of salt!

Let’s face it, an iPad is not much more than a beautiful notebook with great ergonomics, so it’s clearly not a hardware issue that Microsoft still has not released a proper tablet PC. If Windows 8 really runs well on ARM CPU’s, I hope that Windows 8 will finally be the perfect OS for mobile devices with some superb cloud computing features – I’d even wait a few more years for that if necessary.
