Windows 8 High-Contrast Theme Screenshots

A screenshot of the Windows 8 M3 high-contrast theme has been leaked by PCBeta. As usual, Windows 8 will allow you to customize the windows colors of various text and window elements.

Customizing Windows 8

Here’s what the high-contrast Windows 8 theme looks like:

Let’s take a closer look at the Windows 8 theme customization:
Windows 8 Foreground Color

As you can see, you can fully customize the color of the Foreground and Background colors for:

  • Text
  • Hyperlinks
  • Disabled text
  • Selected text
  • Active windows title
  • Inactive windows title
  • Button

I’m still hoping for a bit more customization features that allow us to change colors of more elements. The color customization feature hasn’t changed since Windows 95, so what better time to give this feature a little update? Windows 8 will feature the Metro UI if you believe the latest Windows 8 rumors. As you might know the Metro UI makes a lot of use of colors, so I see a lot of potential there.

If Microsoft decides not to implement this, I will make sure that we can customize more colors in Windows 8!
