Yea I wonder if there is a good site that offers free sound files out there. For vista there is a nice little tool from stardock that is pretty cool, dunno if it works in Win7

The themes work, need more space type and beach island types. Add sounds, very nice on Windows 7, expect brown ones not my taste.

Unfortuantely the desktop backgrounds are missing in the themes contained in the zip file under “9 stylish Windows 7 Themes”…

  • admin (author) said:

Oh I thought that’s obvious. Just double-click it.

  • Zia said:

Well I did that but its asks for a program to open the file and I don’t know which program to use to open the theme file

  • sOliver (author) said:

Redownload the zip if you are trying to use the themes I created. I have done a little mistake, sorry for that.

  • Zia said:

I downloaded “22 fresh free filigree Windows 7 Themes”
I am just having hard time opening the theme pack file of the themes
It asks for a program to open the “theme pack” file and I don’t know which program is it!!

  • sOliver (author) said:

Well normally it would automatically install the theme and apply it. Let me check this myself. Did you try another theme of that package?

  • sOliver (author) said:

Well I tried the Aluminium and the Apple theme.
Both are working fine for me. Maybe a bug?
Which build are you using? Build 7000?

  • Zia said:

Is it perhaps I am using Windows Vista Home Edition that these themes don’t work!!

  • sOliver (author) said:

Zia.. that are Windows 7 themes! Of course they won’t work in Vista. Go to http://vistadesktopthemes.com for vista themes or download that Windows 7 beta (highly recommended btw).

Hi sOliver thanks for these. I am looking for a theme where the standard white background to a window is replaced with say a very pale blue as in the Windows Classic Marine High Colour theme as I have a problem with high contrast themes. Have you any ideas or can tell me how to change the white colour as I have tried to personalize the active window but it stills stays white for me!

  • Shahrani Zabi said:

    Wonderful theme I really like it . . .!

  • Marcus said:

Hey Oliver, just wanted to say this site rocks. I don’t need a lot of the themes on here because I discovered them a looooong time before I discovered this site, and as a result, they won’t need installing (which goes without saying obviously!).
Windows 7 is a nice OS, still buggy in places (which is to be expected, no OS has ever been completely bug free after all), and it’s nice to know there are people out there who are willing to educate the masses.

  • gauri said:

    hi
can i use this themes on windows 7 .

  • sOliver (author) said:

gauri, double-click on the .themepack file to install them, then in your personalization control panel you can activate them.
