Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Build 7601 (KB976932)


Some screenshots of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 have been leaked by cnBeta.com recently. Windows 7 Build 7601 aka Service Pack 1 will be available as a beta download soon. Closed beta: this month, Open beta: next month.

The leaked screenshots are not very spectacular and we still don’t know what exactly Microsoft is going to fix in Windows 7 Build 7601.

Closed beta this month, open beta next month
Some rumors say that the closed beta test of Service Pack 1 will begin this month and the open beta test is supposed to begin next month. The final Windows 7 Service Pack 1 could be released in October or November 2010. Pirated copies will most likely not be able to download the beta of Service Pack 1!

400 MB Update
cnBeta.com reports that the first Service Pack, update KB976932, will be around 400MB big.

So, if you don’t own a genuine copy of Windows 7, it’s time to get one or you won’t be able to beta test Service Pack 1.

    I just hope they add more options to the taskbar, selected grouping and such, otherwise it won’t be much of an update.
