Windows 7 Mac Theme
A lot of people requested a Windows 7 Mac theme, so here it is! This Mac theme will modify your shell and make it look like a Mac. Additionally, you might want to get a Windows 7 Mac Dock and Windows 7 Mac features.
Windows 7 Mac Theme Screenshots
This Mac Theme for Windows 7 modifies the shell to make it look exactly like a MAC, you will basically see no difference at all, it’s a 1:1 copy of the original Mac OS X theme. Mac OS X (also known as Snow Leopard) looks really hot, you simply can’t deny that!
Important: You will need to download additional 3rd-party tools to make it look exactly like that. You will need a Mac dock for example, but it’s all explained in our attached tutorials. So, you will hopefully enjoy our Mac Windows 7 Theme!

Update 08/17/2010: Hassle-free installation
The download now includes a full Windows 7 theme installer (yes, that is correct you now get a free software for installing Windows 7 themes and a full Mac theme). It will be a lot easier to replace the system files with this tool and you can continue to use it to install other Windows 7 themes!

Am I the only one that can’t download this theme?
I’ve tried opening this page in Safari, Chrome and Internet Explorer, all to no avail. All the download button does is reload the page…
Tobei, I suppose you’re on a Mac, aren’t you? For some reason it’s only working on a PC. I’ll be looking into it.
Also disable Adblockers temporarily and enable Javascript that is required for the download. Firefox 3.6.6 and Windows 7 Pro works just fine here.

The Mac theme has been updated. It now includes a Windows 7 theme installer that should make installing the theme a lot easier for beginners. I know that some had problems installing it, because you have to replace shell32.dll, explorer.exe, explorerframe.dll and copy the .theme files.
Additionally, if you are still not able to install it, there’s a new Mac themepack file that can be installed with only a double-click. It will install Mac Icons, Wallpapers, Sounds and Cursors on your Windows 7 PC.
as i am reading what the folks are saying, its a must to have this theme and as I’m typing the download is busy, thanks. i am pretty sure i will love this
I downloaded the theme and it is really looking very nice. I want to ask whether am I able to install the theme on Windows XP version also?

Jimmy, you can only install the Mac theme on Windows 7, this can be either Windows 7 32-bit or Windows 7 64-bit. I thought it would be obvious, because it say Windows 7 Mac Theme. Anyway, I will be looking into this and find a Windows XP Mac theme for you.
Also, I want to remind everyone that the Mac theme now includes a theme installer that allows you to install custom Windows 7 themes very easily (normally installing Windows 7 themes is a lot of trouble). Because I invested a lot of time into all of this (theme + installer = 100h+) I consider a short survey to get the Mac theme very fair.

I am trying to understand very well the process to install WINDOWS 7 MAC THEME, before make any modification using this theme.
When I run the installer, it shows a screen asking me for some files. I think I will only select the files coming with the package. (?!) and the others (right side of the screen) for all files in 32 bit version of the same files, right?
I am not sure about the installation process showed in the package, it says something about patch windows 7, the installer is suppose to install everything itself (?!) or we need to patch windows too ??

Well I got the theme to work. But I have another question. How do I get that bar on the top like a mac does? Also, the dock that is on the bottom.
I want my PC to look exactly like a mac, or close to it.

why is there the big black box at the top of the explorer windows and why is the taskbar all white and strange, i used the installer that is included with the theme to install it and i have used both the patcher and UnsignedThemeSvc (both individually and not together) and they both end up the same

@Henry I’ve written a very detailed step-by-step guide how to install this mac theme using the theme installer that is included. You will first have to patch Windows 7, then you can use the installer to install the theme.

@Thomas You forgot to add the explorer.exe (it did not change the start orb). As for the taskbar, I will have to look into this.
