would be great but crashes about 6-7 out of 10 times, either right after startup or it freezes during shutdown so my machine gets stuck. and it’s not the hw’s or win7′s fault

Mark, You just confirmed what I suspected about the Gmail notifier. As with the google toolbar, it slows down my machine, tends to use up ;oads of memory. I never install google widgets or google toolbar on my new machines.

I don’t really care about the other features of Gmail Notifier. I just want to set Gmail as my default mail program in Windows 7. Can any one tell me how to do that? (Some say to install Notifier, but that’s not working to email files from the hard drive). Thanks
