What is the purpose of Minecraft, is there a goal?
Ok, you might be asking yourself, what is the buzz all about. What is the actual purpose of Minecraft and is there a specific goal in the game or is it just about 8-bit retro fun?
Well, I want to quote minecraft.net here:
Minecraft is a game about placing blocks while running from skeletons. Or something like that..
The “goal” of the game is to survive and explore the world, get better items and enjoy the game. Minecraft is still an alpha, so who knows maybe the creators decide to add something that would qualify as the “ultimate” goal.
