Drag and Drop Bar Application Switcher

Win8Menu is a very cool app to transform the Windows 7 UI to the Windows 8 UI. It’s a portable abb that can be used as a “drag and drop” application switcher. If you use Alt + Tab to switch between apps or use the taskbar to switch, you can try this Windows 8 Menu to simply drag your apps from a menu on the left/right side of your screen.

Unfortunately, Win8Menu doesn’t work properly with multiple monitors, but maybe that will be addressed soon.

Let’s take a closer look at Win8Menu if you still have no idea what I am talking about:

Transforming Windows 7

On the left side you see a black transparent bar. Drag that bar and you can switch between apps. But you can also use the bar as an embedded browser based on IE. For a demo how that works see below.

The Win8Menu is definitely a nice toy to transform Windows 7 into Windows 8 and give it features that are rather unconventional.
