Obviously all six (yes it seems there will be 6 different editions) editions will be different. However one edition seems to lack a lot more features than the others.

Windows 7 Editions revealed

There are going to be 5 different Windows 7 editions:

  • - Windows 7 Starter
  • - Windows 7 Home Basic
  • - Windows 7 Home Premium
  • - Windows 7 Business
  • - Windows 7 Ultimate

This screenshot is taken from a leaked Windows 7 Build 7025. Apparently there will not be a Windows 7 Professional Edition.

Too many Windows7 editions confuse the enduser!

It seems, similar to his predecessor, Windows7 will have several editions. According to this source there will definetly be a Ultimate and Enterprise edition. Also a Business edition will be released most likely!
