We’re still wondering when Activision will announce the release date for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. 3 developers are supposedly currently working on Activision’s flagship title. Now it looks like CoD MW3 will be released on November 8th, 2011.

The release date 8th November would make a lot of sense if you keep in mind that Bethesda will launch the blockbuster game The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim on November 11th. Obviously, Activision want gamers to spend their money on Call of Duty instead of the upcoming Skyrim.

Call of Duty 8 Debut @ E3 2011?

The E3 2011 will take place from June 7th to June 9th in LA. We’re already 5 months into 2011, so we wouldn’t be surprised if Activision would hold on to the breaking gaming news to surprise everyone at the E3 with a uber debut trailer.

According to the latest rumors, 3 developers are currently working on the game. The other top game that was scheduled for November, Mass Effect 3, has been pushed back to 2012 recently. Maybe they delayed Mass Effect 3 to avoid going toe-to-toe with Activision’s flagship or Bioware required more hands to finish up the upcoming mega MMO Star Wars The Old Republic. I certainly wouldn’t exclude the option that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 might have to be delayed for some unknown reasons, but with 3 developers they are hopefully going to pull it off and finish the game this year.
