As of right now, Counter-Strike Global Offensive is not available for preorder. However, we expect that it will be available shorty. The game is scheduled for a 2012 release.

Once it becomes available for preorder we will send you a mail. CS:GO will not be a completely new Counter-Strike game and it will use a modified Source engine. However, Global Offensive will add new weapons, new maps new characters, new grenades, new ranking ladders, new accuracy system and much much more. Global Offensive will bring Counter-Strike to a whole new level. It will surely be worth a preorder – it’s definitely a must-buy for Counter-Strike Veterans like myself.

One of the key elements why CS is so successful is the fact that skill matters a lot in this game and the more time you invest into this game the better you will become – that’s a great motivational factor. A new raking system will give you a chance to show off your skill in CS:GO. But teams and clans also get their own ladders, which will encourage clans to compete even more. However, I’m most excited to see what new maps they come up with.
As of right now, we don’t know if it will include a solo-campaign like Counter-Strike Condition Zero, but it looks like they are focusing more on the core game and that’s probably a good idea.
