Microsoft Reveals Why They Haven’t Talked About Windows 8


Microsoft launched the official Windows 8 engineering blog. Steven Sinofsky unveiled why they haven’t talked more about Windows 8 yet and that Windows 8 will be beyond everything what you expected.

The Microsoft blog is called “Building Windows 8″ is mainly for developer discussions, but they appreciate feedback from all Windows users. You can visit it at http://blogs.msdn.com/b/b8/

Sinofsky, who is the President of the Windows Division, had a few bold words to say about Windows 8.

1. Windows 8 will change the mobile and desktop PC industry. Windows 8 is a complete overhaul of the Windows OS.

2. A lot of new features for IT pros, developers and gamers will make Windows 8 very attractive for all audiences.

“We Need Confidence That We Know What We Talk About”

Microsoft learned a lot from their failed Vista reboot. Sinofsky explains that they first need real confidence that they truly understand what they talk about and that they can actually turn their ideas into reality before revealing it to the public.

One of the ideas Microsoft seems to be very confident of is the app store: The Windows 8 app store is now OFFICIAL
