How to take screenshots in Microsoft’s Onenote


Onenote is a great tool to take screenshots and organize things. Here’s how.

(1) Open Microsoft OneNote

(2) Go to the tab Insert

(3) Click the Screen Clipping button on the toolbar. Or click Insert>Screen Clipping

(4) The screen will turn white. By using your mouse, click and drag until the box surrounds the area you want to take a screenshot of.

The image will appear in the file. You need to scroll down. Every screenshot will have its own little note that you can drag and drop anywhere in the Onenote document.

Taking Screenshots

You can now take screenshots and they will automatically be copied into Onenote. Drag them around and create mindmaps or a document with useful snipptes and screenshots.
