How To Take Screenshots In CS:GO And Where Are They Stored

Taking Screenshots In Counter Strike Global Offensive Wondering how to take your own screens in CS:GO and where Steam stores store? Read on.

Steam makes it very easy to take screenshots. In CS:GO you can simply hit F5 and it will capture the current moment. However, this only works if you did not assign some buyscripts to F5. In that case, you should re-assign the screenshot key.

DEFAULT BINDING FOR SCREENSHOTS IS F5

You can use this in your config file bind “F12″ “jpeg” to change the binding

The screenshots are stored in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\
Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\screenshots

If you take a screen right after dying Steam will store a TGA file – TGA files can be opened with most photo viewing tools but are significantly larger than regular JPG screenshots
