To remove the Windows Live Messenger simply uninstall it via the Programs & Features Control Panel.

1. Click on Start, Control Panel, Programs and then on Uninstall a program
2. Scroll down to the very end of the list of installed programs
3. Right-click on Windows Live Messenger and click on Uninstall7Change
