How to minimize windows to tray?


We have previously reviewed two tools to minimize windows to tray in Windows 7. Here’s another freeware tool to minimize windows that allows you to right-click the minimize button to make windows disappear in the system tray.

RBTray is fully working on Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit and allows you to minimize any windows without exceptions. So, it’s definitely a great alternative to PowerMenu and you don’t have to pay $20 for Actual Windows Minimizer.

Pros:

  • Free Software
  • Minimize Firefox to tray
  • Minimize Windows Live Messenger to tray
  • Minimize Thunderbird to tray
  • Minimize applications without exceptions

Cons:

  • You have to right-click a button, there are no keyboard shortcuts

How to minimize windows to tray via RBTray

It’s really simple, all you have to do it to extract the tool. Double-click the file RBTray.exe and then you can minimize windows to tray by right-clicking on the minimize button (see below):
