Should you receive the following message, then you have to download another hotfix.

The attempt to join this computer to the <domain_name>.com domain failed. The parameter is incorrect.

This will popup every time you try to join a domain through the System Properties user interface, the Netdom.exe command, an unattended setup, the Djoin.exe or any other mechanism and when there are more than 15 characters before the dot (.) in a Domain Name System (DNS) domain name.
Simply download the following hotfix:
