Yeah, making correct predictions about Halo 4, that’s how we roll
At the San Diego Comic-Con yesterday Halo 4 developers 343 Industries unveiled, along with a three-minute trailer for the Halo live action series called Forward Unto Dawn, a Limited Edition console. It includes the game and two controllers, and unique downloadable content.
The console includes a 320GB hard drive, on-off and eject sound effects, two themed controllers – which look great, as usual – and a Standard Edition copy of Halo 4. The controller are the newest version with the twistable D-Pad and blue LED lights on the Guide button, instead of green. We can only see from the single photo what the console looks like, but franchise development director at 343 Industries – Frank O’Connor – said the console is translucent.
As mentioned there’s DLC included: a unique armor skin along with a weapon skin, an emblem, an avatar pro and matching avatar armor
Tell Me Why Isn’t There A Halo Movie?
Away from hardware, the Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn extended trailer gave us a look at the cadets and a brief glimpse of Master Chief (of course) as his younger self. It’s interesting to see how the cadets are pitching as a work-in-progress: they don’t seem ready for a Human-Covenant War, even if Master Chief is standing in front of them and saying follow me.
We’ve questioned the value of these themed bundles, but Halo 4’s seem pretty good: buying a 320GB hard drive and a 4GB Xbox 360 console from Amazon, along with two wireless controller an the Xbox 360 headset, costs $455.71. Without the controllers and a copy of Halo 4 instead it costs $375.23. Buy a 250GB console, along with a controller, and you’re saving almost nothing at $397.98. Every little helps, I guess.
A product page went live on the Microsoft Store but has since been taken down, but still states the bundle, and it isn’t on Amazon as of writing. So stay tuned.
